Afternoon Help Needed at the
Southern Museum
"All Aboard for Holiday Fun" Event

On December 13, the guild will present a display of handcrafted toys created by our members at the All Aboard for Holiday Fun event, hosted by the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Kennesaw. (The picture below shows our display from last year's event.) This exhibition provides an excellent opportunity to introduce our organization to the public while highlighting the creativity and craftsmanship of our members through items designed for children.

All that volunteers need to do is stand by the tables, interact with the museum guests as they look at our display and help any visiting children try out the toys that we have designated as "hands on" items. Occasionally, a person interested in woodworking may stop by and then we get a chance to talk about the guild and encourage them to check us out. Past participants have found this to be a fun and rewarding day.

We currently have volunteers for the morning time slot but could really use your help in the afternoon from 1 to 5. If interested, log on to the guild website (www.wwgofga.com), click on the button in the One Day Event box, then hit the Volunteer to work a shift button and fill out the form, selecting the afternoon shift. Alternatively, send email to Gene Elston (cgelston@comcast.net) and let him know that you will help.

Thank you for considering this opportunity!
