Subject: Be alert for scam emails from the Guild
From: Woodworkers Guild of Georgia

Important: Be alert for scam and phishing emails from the Guild!

Dear Board and Committee Members,

We are seeing scam and phishing emails asking for money that attempts to impersonate officers or appear connected to our organization.

The Woodworkers Guild of Georgia will never send emails or messages requesting money, gift cards, wire transfers, personal information, or urgent confidential action. If you receive a questionable message, do not reply or click any links. Instead, forward it to me so we can investigate.

If there is any doubt, pay very close attention to the actual sending email address, not just the display name. Scammers often use a familiar name but send from a Gmail or other unrelated address. If the sender’s email address does not exactly match and end with our official domain, i.e. @wwgofga.com, it is a phishing email.

Thank you for your vigilance.
